Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in preparing accurate cost estimates for electrical projects, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards. Duties
- Analyse project drawings, specifications, and tender documents to develop comprehensive electrical cost estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements and scope.
- Source and evaluate suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes.
- Prepare detailed bid proposals, including labour, materials, equipment, and overhead costs.
- Monitor project budgets and provide ongoing cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of all estimates, assumptions, and pricing data for future reference.
- Assist in negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favourable terms.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator or similar role within the construction or engineering industry.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and installation processes.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of current industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
- Experience in cost control techniques and budget management is highly desirable.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams. Pay: £45,400.00-£60,000.00 per year
