Main Purpose Of The Job:
We are looking for a creative and motivated Marketing and Communications Executive to join our growing Fundraising and Communications team. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their skills in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment.
You will play a key role in creating engaging content, supporting internal and external communications, and helping to grow Homeless Oxfordshire’s audience and impact.
Main Areas Of Responsibility:
· Content Creation
· Write and produce engaging content for a range of channels, including:
· Newsletters
· Social media posts
· Blog articles and case studies
· Press releases
· Support storytelling by gathering case studies and impact stories
· Ensure all content reflects our tone of voice and brand guidelines
· Digital and Website Management
· Regularly update website content (news, blogs, service pages)
· Work with colleagues to ensure information is accurate and up to date
· Support basic SEO and accessibility best practices
· Social Media and Campaigns
· Assist in planning and scheduling social media content
· Monitor engagement and respond to comments/messages where appropriate
· Support delivery of promotional and fundraising campaigns
· Design and Creative
· Create simple, engaging designs using Canva (e.g. social graphics, flyers, newsletters)
· Develop clear design briefs for more complex projects and liaise with design agency
· Ensure visual consistency across all materials
· Internal and External Communications
· Support internal communications (staff updates, announcements)
· Assist with external communications, including press releases and direct mailings
· Help maintain consistency of messaging across the organisation
· General
· Comply with Homeless Oxfordshire’s policies and procedures
· Contribute to a positive working environment in which equality and diversity are valued and staff are enabled to do their best
· Contribute to the work of the broader team.
