Job Introduction & Primary Responsibilities
CIP Services are seeking a maintenance engineer to join our team on a permanent basis. A Multi-Skilled Electrical / Mechanical Engineer with PLC experience in B&R Automation and Siemens PLC's. Electrical diagnostic skills, is needed to help meet the growing demand for the equipment that we design manufacture and develop, build, supply, operate and maintain.
We are looking for an experienced capable candidate who as a multi-skilled engineer will provide support for the scheduling for ongoing PPM of existing equipment, take an active role in the Design, build, commissioning and installation of new builds as well as contributing towards the product’s continuous improvement and R&D.
The successful candidate would be based in the Southwest, with a willingness to travel nationally occasionally. We are looking for an individual who can demonstrate the skills needed to work as part of a team.
Experience & Person Specification
Experience acquired in the dairy industry’s electrical and mechanical engineering & CIP (Clean in Place) - a distinct advantage.
- Familiarity with standard industrial electrical LV (low voltage control panel)
- Experience of preventive maintenance, routine servicing and installation of pneumatics, pumps, butterfly valves, compressors, pneumatic actuators.
- Ability to dismantle and repair pumps, motors etc
- Support the admin team for ordering parts
- Capability to diagnose fault finding
- Familiarity with AutoCAD an advantage but not essential.
Understanding & knowledge in programming of PLC’s systems preferred.
Majority of our code is coded in Structured Text and Function block.
- Experience of control systems, VSD’s / inverters and process instrumentation
- Project planning, resources and materials
- Flexible, reliable and well organised with communication and admin skills to generate reports.
An ability to communicate effectively and liaise with clients, colleagues & suppliers.
