Full job description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled garden maintenance operative to work within a small team providing project work and grounds maintenance services to contracts in the Ingatestone and surrounding areas which include, high end private homes, private Estates, retirement homes and commercial blocks. We supply all training e.g. how to operate different engines, maintain machinery, Plant identification, tree Identification, health and safety on site. If you have a passion for gardening and enjoy working outdoors, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:
- Plant, cultivate, and maintain flowers, plants, trees, and shrubs
- Perform regular watering and irrigation of garden areas
- Prune and trim plants to ensure healthy growth and appearance
- Apply fertilisers and pesticides as needed
- Monitor and control weeds in garden beds
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, and mulching
- Operate power tools and hand tools to perform various gardening tasks
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of garden equipment and tools
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute garden improvement projects
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and offering gardening advice

Requirements:
- Previous experience in garden maintenance preferred
- Knowledge of plant care techniques, including watering, fertilising and pruning.
- Familiarity with operating power tools and hand tools used in gardening
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
