Full job description

Overview:
Crown Manufacturing are seeking an organised Part Time Bookkeeper to join our team. We are a small manufacturing company consisting of 40 employees located in Weston-Super-Mare, looking for the right candidate to fit our team and look after financial elements.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting processes. Crown Manufacturing are looking for someone with a strong background in Sage software and bookkeeping practices.

Option of remote working available, specific hours of working can be discussed within the interview period to suit the employer and employees needs.

Duties:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software such as Sage Line50.
Run monthly payrolls
Process accounts payable and ensure timely payments to suppliers.
Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow effectively.
Prepare monthly financial reports and assist in the preparation of annual budgets. Prep quarterly VAT returns.
Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
Conduct regular audits of financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Small personal assistantance required to assist the director.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role within finance or accounting.
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with team members.
