Job description

Location: Mold, Flintshire and Ruthin, Denbighshire.

Full time role, Monday to Friday 9 am to 5.30pm and 1 in 4 Saturdays 9am to 1pm. No Sundays or late evenings.

Due to recent expansion, we are looking for a skilled and dedicated Dispensing Optician to join our team. In this role, you will not only assist patients with selecting and fitting eyewear, but also conduct preliminary eye examinations to help assist the Optometrist . If you're passionate about helping people see clearly and enjoy working in a patient-focused environment, we'd love to hear from you!

Key responsibilities:

- Assist patients in choosing frames and lenses based on their prescription, lifestyle, and preferences.

- Accurately measure and fit eyewear to ensure comfort and optimal vision.

- Provide advice on lens options, coatings, and frame styles.

- Ensure all eyewear is dispensed in compliance with the patient’s prescription and comfort.

- Handle repairs and adjustments to frames when necessary.

- Assemble and check spectacles orders.

- Provide exceptional customer service and build long-term relationships with clients.

- Conduct preliminary eye exams, including visual fields and Oct scanning.

Requirements:

- Certified Dispensing Optician.

- Previous experience in dispensing and performing preliminary eye tests is preferred.

- Strong communication skills and a passion for delivering excellent patient care.

- Ability to work efficiently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
