Job Overview:
As an Aluminium Window Installer at VA Architectural Systems Limited, you will play a crucial role in the efficient and accurate installation of high-quality aluminium windows, doors and curtain walling . This position requires a skilled professional with expertise in working with aluminium framing systems and the ability to ensure precise fittings according to project specifications. Responsibilities:
- Site Assessment: Conduct on-site assessments to evaluate the installation requirements, including measurements and structural considerations.
- Read and Interpret Blueprints: Review and interpret architectural drawings and project specifications to understand the scope of work and installation requirements.
- Prepare Work Area: Ensure the work area is prepared, including the removal of old windows or structures, and make necessary adjustments to accommodate new installations.
- Frame Fabrication: Assemble and install aluminum window frames and curtain wall systems according to design specifications and industry standards.
- Glazing Installation: Install glass and other glazing materials into the aluminum frames, ensuring a secure and weather-tight fit.
- Sealing and Insulation: Apply sealants and insulation materials to ensure the windows and curtain walls are airtight, watertight, and energy-efficient.
- Quality Control: Conduct quality checks throughout the installation process to ensure that work meets company standards and client expectations.
- Coordination with Team: Collaborate with project managers, designers, and other team members to ensure effective communication and coordination of installation activities.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a secure and hazard-free work environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Customer Interaction: Interact with clients during installations, addressing any concerns or questions they may have and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work completed, including time logs, materials used, and any issues encountered during installation.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience as an aluminum window and curtain wall installer or similar role within the construction industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, knowledge of aluminum framing systems, and hands-on experience with installation tools and equipment.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure precise and accurate installations.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and interact professionally with clients.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities to address unforeseen challenges during installations.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy materials and working at heights.

Education and Certification:
Full Uk driving licence required.
CSCS certification.
