Job Summary
We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior CAD Technician to join our growing crane rental and lifting operations team based in Sheffield.
The successful candidate will support the Operations Managers by producing CAD erection and dismantling elevation and plan drawings for use within lift plans, helping to ensure safe and efficient crane operations across a variety of projects.

Responsibilities
- Supporting the Operations Managers using AutoCAD and crane software to prepare and amend technical drawings.
- Produce crane positioning, erection, dismantling, elevation, and plan drawings.
- Assist in preparing RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements).
- Review site information, dimensions, and access requirements.
- Liaise with site AP’s, site managers, and clients.
- Maintain accurate drawing records and revision control.
- Ensure drawings comply with Health & Safety regulations and lifting standards.
- Support project scheduling and operational planning activities.
Requirements
Essential
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent).
- Previous experience using AutoCAD.
- Competent in:
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Excel
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Desirable
- Knowledge of mobile cranes and lifting operations.
- Lifting operations qualification.
- CSCS Health and Safety Card certification.
