Are you a good communicator and confident using Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word?

Do you have strong typing skills and a keen eye for detail? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

We’re looking for a proactive and highly organised individual to join our welcoming team in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Orthodontics Department. In this role, you’ll work closely with an experienced Medical Secretary, providing vital administrative support in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, teamwork, and making a real difference in the smooth running of our services.

You’ll be liaising with a wide range of people – from medical consultants and laboratory staff to patients and GPs – so excellent communication skills are essential.

You don’t need NHS experience – just the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment and a commitment to high standards. We offer flexibility in working arrangements and a chance to be part of a team that truly makes a difference.

If you're detail-oriented, are eager to learn and ready to make a difference - we’d love to hear from you.

Provide a complete medical administrative service including Referral to Treatment (RTT), patient correspondence and editing and formatting letters.

Liaising with Nurses, Doctors and other members of the multidisciplinary team including inpatient and outpatient bookings teams to provide a quality service for the patients.

Working as part of a team, sharing responsibility for the smooth running of the administrative service to deliver safe patient care

To provide a first point of contact, answering all telephone enquiries, taking and relaying messages in a polite and helpful manner, and using own judgement to establish the priority of issues and taking action as appropriate.
