The Opportunity
As an Occupational Health Advisor, you’ll play a key role in delivering a high-quality, forward-thinking occupational health service. Working closely with HR, managers, and healthcare professionals, you’ll provide expert advice that helps colleagues stay safe, healthy, and supported at work.
Starting salary will be from £48,000 per annum depending on experience This hybrid role is based at our #Exeter office, with three days on site at Gadeon House and two days working from home, offering flexibility to balance your professional and personal commitments.
From complex case management, fitness for work medicals, drug and alcohol testing and wellbeing initiatives, you’ll contribute to meaningful outcomes across the business. You’ll also play your part in supporting EDF’s journey towards An Electric Britain, helping create a sustainable future through better health at work.

You’ll be a qualified Occupational Health Advisor with proven experience delivering occupational health services, including complex case management and mental health support

Experience in undertaking Fitness for Work medicals

Experience in undertaking evidence-based health and wellbeing activities

A valid Basic Life Support certification

Demonstrable experience supporting policy reviews and occupational health audits

Strong understanding and application of medical confidentiality, ethics and accountability

A NEBOSH certificate, diploma or equivalent qualification is desirable

Experience undertaking drug and alcohol testing is desirable but full training will be given
What You’ll Be Doing

Providing expert occupational health advice to managers on absence, rehabilitation and fitness for work

Supporting employees through effective case management, including complex and sensitive cases

Delivering fitness for work medicals, drug and alcohol testing and wellbeing assessments across your business area

Building strong relationships with stakeholders including HR and managers

Contributing to occupational health strategy, audits and continuous improvement initiatives
