Job Specification – Groundworks Labourer
Objectives
Working within policies and procedures, covering all aspects of Groundworks to achieve a high standard of work completed on schedule.
Reporting
Reporting to the director – Ian Chamberlain
Key Responsibilities
- All aspects of Groundworks
- Drainage and pipe laying
- Digging footings
- Shuttering
- Foundation work
- Externals and finishings (slabbing, kerbing, paving)
- Concreting
- Complying with Health and Safety policy and procedures
- Wearing PPE
- General labouring
- Driving company vehicles
- Ensure company property is looked after
Competencies
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to think ahead and give consideration to the job at hand
- Use of power tools
- Self-motivated, keen to learn, conscientious and prepared to work in outdoor conditions.
- Reliable and punctual
- Physically fit for duties around site
Education/Experience
- Must hold a valid full UK driving licence (clean licence)
- Experience in operating 360 Excavators, Dumpers and Rollers or Groundworks duties
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience
- CPCS or Streetworks tickets are an advantage
