Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Butchery Counter Manager to oversee daily operations at our retail meat counter. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food quality, and extensive knowledge of butchery and food safety standards. This role involves managing a team, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and product presentation. The successful applicant will play a vital role in delivering a premium shopping experience for our customers while ensuring efficient and safe store operations. This is an exciting new role where you will have the opportunity to grow the department through enhancing the offering and the customer experience. You will have an interest in the latest trends within the artisan butchery world and have the commercial acumen to react to customer needs and seasonal trends. Customer service is front and centre to this role and you will be working with our trusted suppliers to deliver the best quality products.

You will manage three experienced butchers and two part time members to deliver the highest standards on the department.

What you will need:

Experience in Food Retail Management and be a real foodie!

A passion for meat, its benefits and how best to serve it

Have a positive and enthusiastic mindset with a customer first approach

Leadership experience with a confidence to build stakeholder relationships across the business and be able to make decisions.

Pay: £32,000.00 per year
