At Toro U.K.Limited, a leading manufacturing company based in Spellbrook near Bishop's Stortford we are currently seeking Production Assembly Operators for our commercial team.
Job Description Summary
As a Production Assembly Operator, you will play a key role in the process of assembling products to meet high standards of quality, safety and efficiency.
Working on a structured assembly line, rotating across various stages and workstations in line with production requirements. This role is hands-on and involves assembling large grass cutting equipment using a variety of tools and handling equipment.
Responsibilities
· Manual hands-on role assembling equipment in a manufacturing environment on a non-powered assembly following production requirements and to a defined production quality standard, using standard assembly instructions
· Ensuring work meets agreed quality, safety, and efficiency expectations
· Completing basic documentation and production records accurately
· Supporting team targets
· Use of basic computer system to check component availability and storage location
· Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes, improve safety, and improve efficiency.
· Adhere to all safety all protocols whilst maintaining a clean, safe working area..
Job Requirements
· Strong practical skills and confidence following step‑by‑step build instructions
· A methodical, detail‑focused approach with respect for process and quality
· Ability to use hand tools safely and accurately, including torque tools
· Clear communication skills and good awareness of health & safety
· Strong attention to detail
· Excellent timekeeping and attendance
· Reliable team player with a positive attitude
Physically, the role is classified as medium, involving regular handling and lifting of items from floor to waist and waist to shoulder, as well as frequent walking, twisting, bending, squatting and kneeling.
