Full job description

We are looking for a Kitchen Porter to join our busy café and events team in the centre of Blackburn.

This role will initially be offered on a casual basis, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right person. It is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced hospitality environment and takes pride in supporting a high-quality customer experience.

As a Kitchen Porter, you will play an important role in keeping our kitchen and back-of-house operations running smoothly. Duties will include:

Washing dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation
Supporting chefs with basic food preparation tasks
Assisting with deliveries and stock movement
Helping during café service and events where required

This is a varied role that includes café, catering and event work. Weekend and evening availability is essential, along with some weekday availability.

We are looking for someone who is:

Reliable and punctual
Hardworking and able to work efficiently under pressure
Positive, flexible and willing to learn
Able to work well as part of a team
Aware of basic food hygiene and kitchen safety standards

Previous kitchen experience is helpful but not essential. Full training can be provided for the right candidate with the right attitude and work ethic.
