Full job description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Butcher to join our team. The Butcher will be responsible for preparing meats for sale or consumption by performing various duties, such as cutting, trimming, grinding, and packaging meat products.

Duties:

- Cut, trim, and prepare cuts of meat according to customer specifications
- Grind meats to prepare ground meats like sausages and burgers
- Package, weigh, price, and label meat products for sale
- Keep work areas clean and sanitized to ensure food safety
- Receive deliveries of meat and inspect them for quality
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed

Experience:

- Proven experience working as a Butcher in a retail setting
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in meat handling
- Proficiency in using butcher knives, saws, grinders, and other tools
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Culinary or food production background is a plus
