The Plant Administrator is responsible for supporting site operations through the effective management of administrative processes, production data, purchase ordering, preparation of human resource and payroll data, and reporting activities.
The role ensures accurate data flow, efficient coordination of resources, and timely communication across the plant, enabling operational teams to function effectively.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
3.1 Production & Inventory
- Maintain accurate production and inventory records within SAP
- Input daily production data and support performance reporting
- Raise purchase orders for raw materials and coordinate deliveries
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate supply
- Input stock take data and generate associated reports
- Manage and order site consumables and stationery
3.2 Administration, Finance & HR Support
- Create and manage purchase orders and goods receipt processes
- Maintain employee records including training documentation
- Liaise with HR and Payroll to ensure accurate employee data
- Generate reports, dashboards, and operational data analysis
3.3 General Administrative Support
- Provide administrative support to the site team
- Handle incoming calls and direct queries appropriately
- Maintain and update documentation, records, and spreadsheets
- Ensure compliance with internal administrative procedures
3.4 Customer & Logistics Coordination
- Liaise with customers to support delivery schedules and sales invoicing
- Ensure all logistics documentation is accurate and complete
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to support on-time delivery
Competencies & Qualifications
Experience
- 1–3 years in an administrative or operations support role
- Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or inventory environments preferred
Education
- Secondary school diploma or equivalent
- Additional administrative or business qualifications are advantageous
KEY SKILLS & Competencies
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Working knowledge of SAP or ERP systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data handling
- Understanding of inventory and production processes
