Shop Assistant – Coalville, Hinckley and Loughborough Charity Shops

Redgate Farm Animal Sanctuary is a long‑established rescue centre in Leicestershire, caring for farm animals, domestic pets, wildlife and small animals. Our charity shops provide essential income that supports animal welfare, rehabilitation, rehoming and daily sanctuary operations. Every sale in our shops directly supports the animals at Redgate.

We are seeking Shop Assistants to support the day‑to‑day running of our Coalville, Hinckley and Loughborough charity shops. The successful candidates will help maintain high retail standards, provide excellent customer service and support the manager and volunteers to ensure each shop operates smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide friendly, helpful customer service at all times.
Assist with sorting, pricing and preparing donated stock.
Keep the shop clean, tidy and well presented.
Support with merchandising and maintaining attractive displays.
Operate the till and handle transactions accurately.
Help volunteers feel supported and included in the daily running of the shop.
Follow all shop procedures including health and safety, safeguarding and cash‑handling.

What We’re Looking For:

Experience in retail or charity shop work is helpful but not essential.
Friendly, positive and confident interacting with customers.
Reliable and able to work as part of a small team.
Good organisational skills and willingness to learn.
Ability to work in a busy environment and manage varied tasks.
Comfortable with basic till use and simple admin tasks.

Hours and Pay:

Part‑time or full‑time hours available .
Roles available across Coalville, Hinckley and Loughborough shops.
Occasional travel to Redgate Farm (Coalville) for training or meetings.
Pay aligned with charity retail assistant roles (insert final figure).
