Here at Hillside Leisure UK Ltd we are the UK’s leading campervan manufacturer, specialising in building high-quality, award-winning Volkswagen campervans. We pride ourselves on our innovative designs and the rigorous safety standards that we hold ourselves to, which include being one of the UK’s only VW Approved manufacturers.

We currently have several exciting opportunities for skilled and enthusiastic craftsmen to join our production team, working in our busy, Derby-based factory. Currently we are hiring for a number of positions, including Veltrim/Flooring Liners for the inside of Campervans.

About the Role

Building market-leading campervans to high standards, we are looking for a skilled person to veltrim/line out the inside walls and floors of our campervans, joining our highly skilled team. This will be based in our factory workshop and specialises in lining out campervans with veltrim and insulation as well as vehicle preparation, this role will include the following:

Lining out campervans with veltrim to a high level of precision.
Installing floors into campervans.
Operating workshop machinery and hand tools with confidence.
Vehicle preparation, including making door frames and picture frames.
Working independently and as part of a team to deliver onetime.
Working closely with other factory departments to ensure quality, customer satisfaction and that projects are completed on time.

The Ideal Candidate

Full training on our build process and the standards that we hold ourselves to will be provided; however, the ideal candidate would possess the following:

Proven experience in veltrim/carpet lining and fitting floors or similar is desired.
Strong attention to detail and pride in their work.
A workshop-based, manufacturing background.
An ability to work to a deadline, either on their own or as part of a team.
Is reliable, punctual and takes ownership of their work.
Able to follow health and safety protocols.

Pay & Benefits

Starting pay £29,120.00 per annum (pro rata, per annum)
40-hour basic week with early Friday finish
Overtime paid
Permanent role
3% employer pension contribution
