Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pizza Chef to join our team for casual event catering. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase culinary talents in a dynamic environment, preparing delicious pizzas and contributing to memorable dining experiences at various events. The ideal candidate will have a background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations, with a focus on delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced setting. This is a team leader role and will involved driving our company van.
Duties
- Prepare and cook authentic pizzas according to established recipes and customer preferences
- Driving the company van and your crew to events.
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly adhered to during food preparation and service
- Assist in the organisation and setup of the pizza station at events, maintaining cleanliness and efficiency
- Manage multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining quality and presentation standards
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy periods
- Serve food to guests in a professional and friendly manner, ensuring excellent customer satisfaction
- Maintain stock levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management when replenishment is needed
- Follow all health & safety regulations and company policies throughout all duties
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of culinary techniques specific to pizza making and general meal preparation
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen or catering environment preferred
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
- Good communication skills and a friendly attitude towards guests and team members
- Flexibility to work during evenings, weekends, or event-specific hours as required
This role provides an engaging opportunity for those passionate about culinary arts and hospitality, offering valuable experience in event catering within a lively team environment. This is a casual role over the summer and Christmas period.
Pay: £12.21-£17.00 per hour
