About Us

Weeley Post Office & Store is a busy community Post Office and convenience store committed to providing outstanding customer service. We are looking for an experienced and reliable Part-Time Post Office Assistant to join our friendly team.

This role is ideal for someone who already has Post Office counter experience and enjoys working in a fast-paced customer-facing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Serving customers on the Post Office counter.
Processing mails, parcels and Special Delivery services.
Handling banking transactions and bill payments.
Processing travel money and other Post Office products (where applicable).
Providing excellent customer service at all times.
Operating tills and handling cash accurately.
Maintaining security and confidentiality of customer information.
Supporting the retail store when required.
Following all Post Office procedures and compliance requirements.

Essential Requirements

Previous experience working on a UK Post Office counter (essential).
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Good numeracy and cash handling skills.
Honest, reliable and trustworthy.
Able to work accurately under pressure.
Good IT skills and confidence using computer systems.
Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Flexible to work weekdays, weekends and bank holidays when required.

Pre-Employment Requirements

Successful applicants will be required to:

Provide two satisfactory employment references.
Have no criminal record. Successful applicants will be required to complete a satisfactory DBS check.
Provide proof of their right to work in the UK.
