Do you enjoy making things with your hands? Do you take pride in creating high-quality finished products and seeing a project come together from raw material to a beautiful final piece?
At Cristofoli International, we specialise in high-end, lightweight stone fabrication for exciting projects across the UK and internationally — from sleek stone countertops in Emirates aircraft bars to architectural cladding on buildings in central London.
We're looking for someone who's not just skilled with tools and materials, but who genuinely enjoys craftsmanship and takes pride in producing exceptional work. You enjoy variety, thrive on responsibility, and are passionate about delivering quality.
We're a close-knit, dynamic team and are looking for a hands-on, proactive Stone Fabricator to join us. You may have experience in stone masonry, kitchen worktop fabrication, construction, carpentry, manufacturing or a similar trade. Most importantly, we're looking for someone with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a desire to produce outstanding work.
Stone industry experience is an advantage—but not essential. Full training is available for the right candidate with the right attitude.
What makes this job exciting?
- You'll be an integral part of our production team, transforming natural stone into bespoke products for a huge variety of projects.
- Every project is different. One week you could be fabricating stone furniture tops; the next, precision-manufacturing lightweight stone cladding panels for commercial developments.
- You'll work with a wide range of natural stones and innovative lightweight stone composite materials, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern manufacturing techniques.
- If you're someone who enjoys standing back at the end of the day and saying, "I made that," you'll fit right in here.
- You'll have the opportunity to develop new skills, working alongside experienced fabricators and using specialist machinery, hand tools, and finishing techniques.
Duties
As a Stone Fabricator, you will be responsible for shaping, polishing, constructing, assembling, and repairing items such as stone worktops, cladding panels and other bespoke components. This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail and a strong understanding of fabrication techniques. A background in stone, carpentry or similar hands-on trades is particularly suited due to the practical nature of the work.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Reading and interpreting templates, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements
- Shaping, polishing, laminating, and assembling stone and composite materials
- Laminating and expanding aluminium honeycomb for composite panel manufacture
- Preparing, assembling, and managing crates or protective packaging for transport and storage of stone panels
- Ensuring finished goods are inspected at regular intervals and meet required quality standards
- Occasional on-site work, including installation and templating
- Supporting general shop floor housekeeping, maintenance, and day-to-day factory operations
Who we're looking for:
- Someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and takes pride in producing high-quality craftsmanship.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, workshop machinery, or working in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- An eye for detail and a commitment to producing work to the highest standard.
- A practical problem-solver who enjoys working out the best way to fabricate and assemble bespoke products.
- Someone who works well as part of a team and has a positive, can-do attitude.
- Comfortable handling stone materials safely.
- Experience working with natural stone, quartz, porcelain, timber, metal, or similar materials would be beneficial, but is not essential.
- A willingness to learn new skills—we'll provide full training and support for the right person.
What we offer:
- A competitive salary based on your skills and experience
- 20 days holiday + bank holidays
- Free on-site parking
- Company pension scheme
- Opportunities for growth and skills development as the business expands
