Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organised Maintenance Operations Coordinator / Administrator (Part-Time) to oversee and support maintenance activities within our organisation. This role involves coordinating maintenance schedules, supervising technical staff, and ensuring operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, mechanical and electrical knowledge, and experience in project management. Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule maintenance activities across various departments to minimise downtime.
- Supervise maintenance staff, providing leadership and guidance to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
- Oversee the utilisation of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and interpret schematics to assist in troubleshooting and repairs.
- Manage maintenance projects from planning through execution, ensuring adherence to deadlines and budgets.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, inspections, and repairs using organisational management systems.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop preventative maintenance programmes.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all maintenance activities.
- Assist in the procurement of parts and equipment necessary for maintenance tasks.
- Provide training or guidance on mechanical or electrical issues as required.
Qualifications
- Proven management or supervisory experience within a maintenance or technical environment.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Mechanical knowledge with familiarity in interpreting schematics and technical drawings.
- Electrical experience, including understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate team members effectively.
- Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Relevant qualifications in engineering, electronics, or related fields are desirable but not essential.
