Joiner

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Joiner to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing various wooden and metal components in a range of building projects. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in carpentry and joinery, with experience using hand tools and power tools to complete complex tasks on-site and in workshop settings.

Duties

Fabricate and assemble bespoke timber and metal components according to technical drawings and specifications
Install joinery elements such as doors, windows, staircases, and furniture within construction sites
Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment safely and efficiently
Perform roofing tasks including fitting trusses, sheathing, and finishing roofing structures
Conduct heavy lifting of materials and components safely to ensure smooth workflow
Carry out construction painting, masonry work, plumbing tasks, electrical installations, or other trades as required
Assist with site preparation, including measuring, cutting, fitting, and finishing work
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations at all times

Requirements

Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry, joinery or related trades
Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, screwdrivers; and power tools including drills and saws
Knowledge of roofing techniques, masonry work, plumbing systems or electrical experience is advantageous
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over extended periods
Strong understanding of construction processes including painting and masonry work
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in measuring and fitting components accurately
Physical fitness suitable for demanding manual labour tasks in various weather conditions
Relevant qualifications or certifications in carpentry or joinery are preferred but not essential depending on experience
