Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and proactive Governors to join our organisation. The Governors will play a vital role in guiding the strategic direction, ensuring effective governance, and supporting the organisation’s mission. Responsibilities
- Provide strategic oversight and contribute to the organisation’s long-term planning.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements relevant to the organisation’s operations.
- Support and promote organisational programmes through effective advocacy and outreach.
- Assist in developing and implementing fundraising strategies to secure financial sustainability.
- Foster positive relationships with stakeholders, including donors, partners, and community members.
- Oversee financial management, including reviewing budgets and ensuring responsible stewardship of resources.
- Understand and work with organisation to ensure all safeguarding legislation and policies are adhered to
- Represent the organisation at public events, meetings, and community activities to raise awareness.
- Collaborate with staff and other Trustees to ensure organisational effectiveness and transparency.
Skills
- Proven experience or interest in education to promote organisational initiatives.
- Strong relationship management skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders effectively.
- Experience or knowledge of fundraising techniques and practices.
- Strong understanding of SEND education.
- Effective public relations abilities to enhance organisational visibility and reputation.
- Demonstrated safeguarding qualities with the ability to work collaboratively within a governance framework.
