Full job description

CURRENTLY BASED IN LUTTERWORTH BUT FROM JULY IT WILL BE FROM DAVENTRY

Pay Rate: Earn up to £41,318.45 - including a strong base salary of £36,565 plus a 13% shift premium
Grade: N
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: Nights Sunday to Thursday, 10pm to 6am
Location: Will be based at Daventry from July

✅WHAT YOU'LL DO

Take leadership responsibility for managing a safe and efficient transport environment.
To maximise the performance of drivers and supervisors by directing the nightly, weekly and monthly activities.
Analysing and understanding health and safety related risks for our colleagues, take action to reduce or eliminate these risks according to a prioritized plan
Implement actions as directed to reduce or eliminate health and safety related risks
Leverage Behavioral Based Safety (BBS) program as a daily way to confirm behaviors and processes
Report and investigate incidents within the work place and respond to or escalate issues of non compliance to safety regulations and procedures
Implement and supervise the adherence of up to date processes, work instructions, standard operating procedures and associated forms to achieve prescribed outputs
Continuously contribute to the improvement of procedures to better achieve the prescribed outputs
Liaise with suppliers based on business requirements, monitor performance and where necessary, propose improvements to line manager and implement agreed improvement actions
Participate in customer, regulatory and internal operational audits as required and work with the team to implement the agreed action plan
Conduct regular reviews on operational performance and delivery against the agreed KPIs
Escalate any areas of non compliance or failure to line manager and where applicable escalate to the senior team
Management of Subcontractorand help implement agreed processes to review performance,
Leads regular operational performance reviews with colleagues with focus on H&S and Legal Compliance, overall efficiency of the operation in line with targets and performance via Performance Dialogs
