Due to the expansion of our landscaping division, we are looking for an experienced and skilled Mobile Grounds Maintenance Operative to work as part of a team in and around the Northampton NN6 area.
As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you'll be responsible for a variety of tasks that help bring our clients' outdoor visions to life. From planting and turfing to spraying and mulching, no two days are the same!
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform landscaping tasks such as planting, pruning, mowing, weeding, mulching, and irrigation
- Operate landscaping equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, etc.)
- Conducting regular inspections of grounds and report any potential on-site hazards or equipment malfunction and take corrective actions as needed.
- Ensuring that you observe safety procedures and use safe working practices specifically regarding COSHH and Risk Assessments, reporting accidents and near misses to your line manager.
- Contributing to a positive team dynamic, building productive and professional relationships with team members, other employees, managers, clients, and external agencies.
- Providing support in the completion of any necessary documentation or reports, such as timesheets or site condition updates, as needed.
What we're looking for:
- Previous landscaping or groundskeeping experience
- Plant knowledge and other tickets an advantage
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to display a positive and can-do attitude
- Strong work ethic and a keen eye for detail
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Physically fit and able to lift, dig, and carry materials
- A valid driver's licence essential
- PA1/6 spray licence desirable
