We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Technician to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing various financial processes, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and supporting the organisation’s financial management activities. Quintess Denta is a specialist surgical company that supplies state-of-the-art dental products to practices across the UK and Ireland. They are the exclusive distributor of Neodent implants in Ireland.
Additionally, they offer high-quality components and abutments compatible with major implant systems through their partnership with Medentika. With decades of experience, Quintess Denta also provides expertise in handpiece repair and maintenance.
We are seeking a dynamic and hardworking individual to join our busy accounts team, which services Quintess Denta and its sister companies, Quoris3D and The L.S. Browne Centre. Experience in an accounts related role is desirable, but not essential. If you’re good with numbers, proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office products, and have a strong work ethic, we want to hear from you!
Role Summary:
As an Accounts Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate recording and maintenance of customer and supplier transactions. Collaborating with our in-house accountant, you will manage financial systems such as XERO, UNLEASHED, and PAYT for our three companies. This role involves handling the financial aspects of sales and purchases. You will play a key role in our team, supporting our growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
· Manage customer and supplier transactions, ensuring accurate recording and maintenance.
· Maintain accounts records across our financial systems and e-payment platforms (XERO, UNLEASHED, PAYT, BACS and STRIPE)
· Monitor and reconcile bank accounts, process cheque payments, and allocate them to the relevant accounts.
· Research and resolve any payment discrepancies related to sales.
· Customer accounts support: new customer onboarding, invoice generation, accounts queries, refund processing, managing accounts inbox, etc.
· Assist with financial reporting
· Contribute to the continued development of the department and success of the company
· Other related duties
Who we’re looking for:
· Experience in an accounts-related role and familiarity with financial software systems is desirable but not essential.
· A numbers person! Good analytical skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
· A team player. Collaboration and strong communication skills are a must for this role.
· Targets focused. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and targets.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, is a significant advantage.
