Geo-Environmental Engineer. Another great opportunity at this leading, Large Geo-Environmental Consultancy. This role is based in Coventry.

Overview

Our partner is a leading, UK-wide consultancy specialising in providing high-quality, technically robust ground investigation, land quality, and geotechnical engineering. They are part of firm that delivers comprehensive, multidisciplinary solutions across various market sectors.

They are seeking a Geo-Environmental Engineer for their Coventry office to deliver technical consultancy for a diverse portfolio, ranging from residential developers and energy firms to public sector bodies and lead designers.

Responsibilities

Plan, manage and support Phase I and Phase II geo‑environmental ground investigations, with senior guidance as required, including preparation of factual and interpretive reports.
Undertake on‑site investigations using a range of intrusive techniques.
Complete environmental monitoring visits and produce associated reports.
Conduct incident response visits and documentation.
Perform soil logging in accordance with current UK standards and prepare laboratory schedules.

Requirements

BSc in Geology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline (MSc desirable).
Working towards Chartered status with a relevant professional body.
Typically 1–5 years’ background in geo‑environmental or geotechnical work.
Strong understanding of geology, ground investigation practices, contaminated land and geotechnics.
Basic awareness of planning legislation.
Ability to complete factual and interpretive assessments to a competent level.
Background working within a multi‑disciplinary consultancy environment.
Proven ability to manage time, resources and budgets effectively.
Full UK driving licence.
