This is an excellent opportunity for motor mechanic/technician in the local area and a growing business, located at Staunton Works, near Newark & Grantham.
Mobile/Workshop mechanic required to work on cars and commercial vehicles up to 3.5 tonne, covering a radius of 80 miles of Grantham, looking after our long term fleet customers and courier company contracts. Repairs will also be carried out in our Staunton workshop as needed, particularly on the larger jobs.
We are seeking a skilled Mobile Motor Mechanic/Technician to provide on-site maintenance and repair services for a diverse range of vehicles. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring optimal operational performance across various locations. This role offers the opportunity to work independently while delivering exceptional customer service and mechanical experience.

Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brakes, starter motors etc
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs and replacements.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults using diagnostic equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed on each vehicle.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in vehicle repair with strong mechanical knowledge
- Strong mechanical knowledge, with the ability to troubleshoot various vehicle systems.
- Familiarity with using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Should have own basic tools for general tasks, all diagnostic and specialised tools provided by business.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude
- Valid driving licence is essential for the use of our vehicles to, from and between sites
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in automotive or mechanical engineering are advantageous
