e are seeking a JIGS & TOOLING DESIGN ENGINEER to support a major aerospace programme, delivering high-quality tooling solutions to enable efficient and safe manufacturing and assembly operations. T
he role will involve the design, development, and validation of jigs, fixtures, and tooling used across complex aerospace systems, ensuring alignment with programme requirements, quality standards, and delivery timelines.

EY RESPONSIBILITIES:

•

esign and develop jigs, fixtures, and tooling solutions for aerospace manufacturing and assembly •
roduce detailed 3D CAD models and 2D drawings to required standards •
upport tooling through the full lifecycle: concept, design, manufacture, and validation •
ollaborate with manufacturing, production, and engineering teams to ensure practical and efficient designs •
nsure compliance with relevant safety, quality, and regulatory standards •
onduct design reviews and implement feedback from stakeholders •
upport continuous improvement activities across tooling and manufacturing processes •
onsider ergonomics, safety, and usability in all tooling designs

ROFIL

NOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

egree qualified (minimum 2:1) in Engineering (Aerospace, Manufacturing, Automotive, Robotics, Marine or similar) •

xperience using CAD software (e.g. CATIA, SolidWorks, AutoCAD), preferably CATIA •
trong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing processes •
roficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) •
ood problem-solving skills with a practical engineering mindset

ESIRABLE SKILLS: •

xperience within aerospace or other highly regulated industries •
amiliarity with SAP or similar ERP systems •
roject management knowledge or qualifications •
rogramming or automation experience (e.g. VBA, Python, C++) •
nderstanding of Health & Safety and ergonomic standards (e.g. PUWER) •
nowledge of composite and metallic structures •
trong attention to detail and quality •
bility to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams •
ood communication and stakeholder engagement skills •
roactive and solution-oriented approach
