Overview
Saturday – Tuesday

Saturday: 9am–6pm
Sunday: 9am–1pm
Monday–Tuesday: 9am–3pm

Pay Rates:

Age 21+: £12.71 per hour
Age 18–20: £10.85 per hour
Under 18: £8.00 per hour

We’re looking for a friendly and reliable Front of House / Barista to join our growing team at The Southfork Cafe & Deli.

This role is ideal for someone who loves customer service and cafe culture but wants genuinely sociable working hours. With no late nights or evening shifts, this is a fantastic hospitality role for people wanting a better work-life balance and more time outside work.

Responsibilities:

Serving customers with a warm and friendly attitude
Preparing coffees and drinks
Taking orders and handling payments
Keeping front of house clean and organised
Supporting the team during busy service periods

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, adhering to company standards.
Take orders from customers efficiently and accurately, ensuring prompt service.
Serve food items such as pastries, sandwiches, or light snacks in a courteous manner.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including coffee machines and serving stations.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations at all times.
Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system.
Provide friendly and attentive service to enhance the customer experience.
Assist with basic food preparation tasks when required.
Manage multiple tables or orders simultaneously while maintaining high-quality service standards.

Experience

Previous experience as a barista or waitress is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
Knowledge of food safety procedures is preferred.
Experience in serving customers efficiently in a fast-paced environment is beneficial.
Basic maths skills are necessary for handling transactions accurately.
Good time management skills are essential to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods.
