Summary

Job Description Manual Turner/Miller

Producing turned parts on manual & semi automatic lathes (Colchester Alpha lathe)

producing small batches of parts from engineering drawings

Small amount of milling using manual milling machine

responsible for own work and measuring to ensure accuracy.

As we manufacture our own parts, being able to interact with the design team, make suggested on the best method methods and tooling requirements is needed

Skills and Capabilities

Have a background in turning & milling,
Work in a safe and organised manner, from own initiative.
Good attention to detail.
Use measuring equipment to inspect your own work
Be able to problem solve and find ways to machine parts required
Be able to respond flexibly to changes in demand
capable of assembly of machine parts when needed
Be able to work individually on own tasks and manage your time effectively.
Basic knowledge of CNC turning would be useful but not essential

Full Time or part time available

Full time is 37 1/2 hrs per week – Monday to Friday

25 days holiday plus bank holidays for Full Time and pro-rata for part time.

Health monitoring provided.

Pay: £12.21-£20.02 per hour
