The Role
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Groundworker / Construction Operative to join our growing team. The successful candidate will work on a variety of projects, supporting site preparation, drainage installation, foundations, surfacing and landscaping works while ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out groundwork and earthwork activities on residential and commercial projects.
- Assist with excavation, drainage, foundations and site preparation works.
- Operate tools, machinery, and plant equipment safely and effectively.
- Support construction teams on new build and extension projects.
- Install surfacing, patios, driveways and landscaping features.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
- Follow health and safety procedures and site regulations at all times.
- Work collaboratively with project managers, machine operators and subcontractors to ensure project deadlines are met.
Requirements
- Previous experience in groundworks, construction, civil engineering or a related field.
- CSCS card preferred.
- CPCS or plant operator qualifications advantageous.
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.

Salary
Competitive and dependent on experience, qualifications, and skill level. Salary will be discussed during the interview process and will reflect the successful candidate's relevant industry experience and expertise.
