Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tire Technician to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and replacing tyres on a variety of vehicles, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Responsibilities
- Remove and replace tyres using hand tools and power tools efficiently and safely
- Inspect tyres for damage, wear, and defects, providing recommendations for repairs or replacements
- Balance tyres to ensure smooth vehicle operation
- Assist with wheel alignment procedures as required
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot tyre-related issues effectively
- Operate lifting equipment to handle heavy tyres during installation or removal
- Ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications and safety standards
Experience
- Previous experience working with mechanical tools, hand tools, and power tools is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of tyre types, vehicle systems, and basic automotive maintenance is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently is essential
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are required to ensure quality work
- Prior experience in a similar role or automotive environment will be considered an asset
