About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and experienced barista to join our small team. This is a mixed role that combines front-of-house barista duties with retail support and occasional assistance with our online store.
You’ll be the first face customers see when they enter our shop, creating a welcoming environment while keeping the café and retail space running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Coffee Shop & Retail
- Open and set up the shop each morning
- Prepare and serve speciality coffee to a high standard
- Serve cakes and ice cream
- Keep the café and retail space clean and tidy throughout the day
- End-of-day cleaning and closing duties, ensuring the shop is ready for the next day
- Ensure retail displays are well-stocked and attractively presented
- Add and arrange new retail products in-store
Front of House
- Greet all customers warmly and provide excellent customer service
- Handle till transactions (training provided)
Support with Online Retail Operations
- Assist with packing and dispatching online orders during busy periods
- Help check, count and process new deliveries
- Label new stock and prepare it for storage or display
What We’re Looking For
- Trained barista with experience in speciality coffee
- Friendly, approachable and confident with customers
- Willing to get involved in all aspects of the business – café, retail and online
- Good attention to detail, especially when handling stock and deliveries
- Punctual and reliable, with a positive attitude
