Full job description

We are looking for a keen, enthusiastic hard worker to join our Team at Massey Harpers - a leading family owned supplier ofquality farming and country products.

This is a permanent position, 40 hours a week Monday to Friday, and some
Saturdays on a rota basis, working as part of a friendly, hard-working team whose aim is to build our growing business and to deliver the highest possible level of customer service to our customers.

Duties will involve:

To ensure the safe loading and unloading of goods onto vehicles
To maintain and ensure efficient communication lines are kept between suppliers, customers and staff
Managing stock in a busy warehouse and yard display area
To ensure stock and operations run efficiently
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
To provide advice and support to customers
Some delivering on farm & working at our external storage site

What we are looking for:

Excellent communication and customer service skills
Good numeracy and literacy skills at secondary education level
Able to work on own initiative as well as part of a dedicated team
Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines when required
Must be able to take instruction & work to high quality standards
Physically fit to undertake manual handling work
Background in agriculture or warehouse work is desirable, along with Forklift/handler experience but training will be provided

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (some Saturdays on a rota basis paid at overtime rate x1.75)
