This role will include inspection of Contractor Landlords Gas Safety Record (LGSR) and approving remedial actions on properties that have been/currently being tested.
The Gas inspector role will include daily visits to properties across Oxford and surrounding areas to carry out inspections of contractors LGSR testing after it has been carried out. This will mean scrutinising any LGSR that has been carried out and report any issue back to management.
This role will also include approving of any remedial works from the contractors, including the assessment of costs.
This role will be based across Oxford and surrounding areas. You will be working remotely but maintaining good communication with office staff and management.
The candidate will be given a van, electronic tablet and mobile phone.
The candidate will be able to work from home and remotely also there they are given holiday pay and sick pay.

The candidate will need:
Essential: Core CCN1 (or a suitable changeover) including CPA1 domestic gas installations and appliances.
In addition, the operative must also hold the relevant appliance elements:
CENWAT1, Central heating and boilers
HTR1, Space heaters
CKR1, Domestic cookers
The inspector/gas operative must also have a good understanding of the following work areas:
Gas safety legislation and standards
Building Regulations
Gas emergency actions and procedures
Products and characteristics of combustion (inc. combustion performance analysis)
Ventilation requirements
Installation of pipework and use of approved fittings
Tightness testing and purging
Unsafe situations, emergency notices and warning labels
Operation and positioning of emergency isolation controls and valves
Checking and setting appliance burner pressures and gas rates
Operation and checking of appliance gas safety devices and controls
Chimney Standards and termination
Chimney inspection and testing
Installation of open, balanced and fan assisted chimneys
Re-establish existing gas supply and relight appliances
Be knowledgeable to inspect, test, commission and maintain gas appliances across a wide range.
Non-essential elements to support core level (preferred):
· LAU1 – domestic tumble dryers
· DAH1 – domestic warm air heating
· MET1 – U6 meters
· CKHB1 – Range cookers
· CMDDA1 – CO fume investigation
· CONGLP – LPG domestic dwellings (or similar)
