Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, practical and trainable Grounds Person to help maintain and enhance the outdoor areas of our lavender field. . The ideal candidate will possess a background in landscape maintenance and horticulture, with the ability to operate various mechanical and power tools. Or - if you are willing to learn training can be given.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who want to work with fun people in a completely unique location and a growing and exciting new business.

Basic outdoor maintenance to contribute to the upkeep of our grounds, ensuring a safe and aesthetically pleasing environment.

Responsibilities

Perform regular landscape maintenance including mowing, pruning, planting, and strimming to uphold the visual appeal of the grounds
Operate machinery such as tractors ( when trained) lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, blowers and other power tools safely and efficiently or after training!
ensure watering schedules and system functionality when necessary.
Conduct routine inspections of outdoor areas for hazards or maintenance needs and address them promptly
Assist with construction or repair projects related to grounds improvement or infrastructure development
Use hand tools for planting, digging, or minor repairs as required
Support general maintenance tasks including cleaning, organising equipment, and ensuring safety protocols are followed
Collaborate with team members to complete projects within specified timeframes

Requirements

some experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, horticulture, or related fields or a practical student wanting to learn.
practical loyal and willing to learn
Proficiency in using hand tools and gardening equipment safely and effectively
Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, digging, and standing for extended periods
Ability to learn to operate robot ground mower.
Relevant qualifications or certifications in horticulture or construction are advantageous but not necessary.
A proactive attitude with good teamwork skills, yet happy to work alone for a few hours on a task.
