The role
We are looking for joiners, FROM THE NORTH EAST OF ENGLAND as this is our HQ location, to install bespoke saunas, steam rooms and modular sauna cabins throughout the UK.
The role is unique, with installation teams working in twos on projects across the UK. The role is ideal for people wanting to work on very high-end projects at the peak of quality within the trade, who are happy to travel and work away Monday to Friday/Saturday as required, (or from their home base if projects are less than 1 hour 30mins from your location). This is a 'hands on' position for an experienced joiner to lead/coach/mentor a junior yet skilled joiner through installations.
All Sauna Fitter/Installer applicants MUST:

- Be willing to work hard and sometimes late to get the job done whilst on site.
- Be a team player and able to get along with other tradespeople.
- Have a willingness to earn responsibilities and adapt to project requirements.
- Be a stickler for working safely, with full PPE and undertake risk assessments before each project.
- Be able to maintain an immaculate level of site and van hygiene/tidiness
When working away, nice accommodation is provided close to each site with your own room and a generous daily food allowance.
The day-to-day Sauna Fitter/Installer responsibilities of the job include:
- Taking receipt of delivery of install equipment and checking it off to ensure receipt of all materials.
- Team leader completing a site specific risk assessment and uploading it.
- Reading and working to detailed and specific design drawings.
- Using site lasers to square up a space.
- Timber framing and installation of straight plumb studwork.
- Installation of windows and door frames.
- Insulating, vapour sealing and battening of installation space.
- Running of ducting and ventilation.
- Fixing tongue and groove and custom profile wall cladding.
- Installing custom bench kits and heater guards to the designed for each install.
- Running of low voltage cables.
- Fitting lights, extractor fans and heaters (including loading stones).
- In Spring to Autumn may be required to install log cabins, bespoke garden buildings and modular kits.
- Ensuring the working area remains clean, dust and dirt free with exemplary site hygiene.
- Ensure all health and safety regulations are followed meticulously.
- Managing the vans fixings stock levels and advising when materials are low/need reordering.
- Help keep equipment inventory and maintenance records for tools and machinery.
- Liaising with Installations Manager to update on progress and provide install and design feedback/suggest improvements.
- Completing a handover/sign off sheet and logging any snags.
You may be required to attend a practical work test at our HQ in the Durham Gate area if successful at interview.
Must haves:
- Highly organised.
- Highly punctual.
- Excellent communicator and able to keep in regular comm's with Line Managers
Desirable:
- CSCS Card.
- NVQ equivalent Level 2 or higher.
- Asbestos Aware
- Working at heights
- Manual Handling
- First aid at work training
- Fluent English speaker
- Willingness to undertake personal CPD if required (role specific)
- Right to work in the UK, CIS registered and UTR number
Stand out candidates will have:
- CSCS Gold
- SSSTS
- NVQ equivalent Level 3
- Part P electrical
- PASMA
- Experience in tiling and plumbing
- EFAW
As a team of two, you will typically be looking to get up to 3 weeks of installation work per month depending on your availability and project availability, these are typically booked in at least 1-3 months in advance but shorter notice projects available.
Your first 6 months in the role will be probationary and considered part of your training.
PLEASE NOTE! This is a 'zero hrs' contract and there is an anticipated start date of 22 Jun 26. All work is booked 3 months in advance and can be irregular ( 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off or 3 weeks on, 1 week off depending on available projects). THIS POSITION WOULD SUIT SOMEBODY WHO HAS THE OPPORTUNITY TO ALSO WORK LOCALLY FOR THEMSELVES.
