Full job description

Are you a proven leader who thrives in a warehouse environment? Does motivating and developing a team come naturally to you? Do you have a flexible approach to management that allows you to organise and prioritise workload effectively? If yes, we have the opportunity for you!

We are looking for a Warehouse Shift Manager (Nights) to join our M&S site in Milton Keynes, where you will play a pivotal role in delivering operational excellence across our warehouse operations. In this role, you will lead and develop your team to drive efficiency, quality and cost performance, ensuring all activities are executed to the highest standards. You will take ownership of processes, facilities and best practice deployment, fostering a culture of continuous improvement while maintaining a safe and compliant working environment.

This is a full-time, permanent position, where you’ll be working ‘any 5 from 7’ - 22:00 to 06:00.

You’ll be paid a salary of up to £46,588 per annum + shift premium £7662.97. You’ll also receive 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days so you can enjoy a positive work-life balance. What you’ll do on a typical day:

Lead warehouse operations as a Shift Manager, driving performance, safety, and efficiency
Ensure full H&S compliance while promoting a strong, safety-first culture
Manage, develop, and motivate teams to achieve KPIs and deliver excellent service
Oversee planning, productivity, and customer relationships to exceed expectations
Drive continuous improvement, control costs, and create a positive, high-performing environment

What you need to succeed at GXO:

Strong leadership and team management skills with a people-focused approach
Proven ability to manage budgets, control costs, and drive performance results
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and manage change
Proficient in Microsoft Office and warehouse management/reporting systems
Self-motivated, reliable, and flexible with a strong problem-solving and ownership mindset
