Full job description

Crowthers Chartered Accountants are a firm of accountants with offices in Pershore, Cheltenham, Ledbury and Twyning. We specialise in working for owner-managed and family-run businesses. We have grown rapidly over the last few years due to the excellent quality of service we offer our clients which is testament to our dedicated, hardworking and passionate team.

Crowthers has a team approaching 40 staff across the 4 offices. We are very focussed on building and retaining our amazing team, seeking to promote from within which is shown by the fact that many of our directors are home grown talent.

We are currently looking for an ambitious school or college leaver with excellent A-level results or equivalent qualifications to join our growing team in Twyning.

The role

The full-time role will involve bookkeeping and the preparation of client management accounts including processing invoices, reconciling bank accounts and maintaining clients accounting records.

The role will develop towards the preparation of statutory and management accounts, VAT returns and tax returns.

Training on cloud-based accountancy software packages such as Xero will be provided as well as our professional accounting software.

We are offering the opportunity to train for professional accountancy qualifications which will be offered as part of the salary and training package. Study leave will be provided for the AAT examinations, and we will cover all the costs for the first attempt at any of the papers.

AAT is a recognised qualification for accountants and bookkeepers and is a great stepping stone to training as a Chartered Accountant. We offer top quality training, support along the way, time off for study, regular feedback on progress and an exposure to all aspects of accountancy and tax.

The individual

The ideal candidate will be eager to develop a career in accountancy, be professional and able to communicate well with our team and clients.

Excellent IT and organisational skills are required, and you must show initiative, drive and be willing to roll your sleeves up.

You must be a recent college or school leaver to apply and have achieved three C grades or above at A-level or be predicted to achieve high grades.

This position may require some travelling to clients so a driving license and access to your own vehicle are required.
