Job Role Summary
To design all fire and security related products and systems including reviewing customer specifications and interpreting them, identifying gaps in the information and work with Sales to get all the necessary information and design of Suppression systems.
To be customer focused, both externally and internally. Maintain clear communication with office based and field-based members of the Sales department and wider team, and ensuring proposals and designs are carried out in accurate and timely manner.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
● Reviewing customer specifications and interpreting them.
● Identifying gaps in the information and work with Sales to get all the necessary information.
● Design of Suppression systems.
● Building up the costings of the design and enable Sales to agree pricing.
● Providing the right solution to fit the customer requirements, this may include options and including not over
engineering.
● To visit customers or surveys as required.
● To understand and apply all relevant Standards.
● Ensuring customer purchase orders are in line with sales cost sheets.
● Working closely with the Sales team and supporting the Estimating Manager.
Person Specification
● Strong IT skills. Experience with SimPro would be beneficial.
● Excellent organisational skills.
● Strong communicator at all levels, verbal and written.
● Someone who is confident, assertive and takes ownership.
● Experience from the Fire and Security industry and commercial awareness.
● Must be flexible – enjoys a varied role.
● Self-motivated, energy, drive & enthusiasm.
● Creative problem solving.
● Geographical knowledge of the UK.
● Full clean driving licence
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £21,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
