We're looking for an experienced Head Butcher to lead the department into its next chapter.
As part of the Leadership Team, you'll take responsibility for the performance of the butchery, leading the team, maintaining exceptional standards, protecting profitability, and continuing to develop a department that sits at the heart of Denstone Hall Farm Shop & Café.
This is a hands-on role, combining traditional butchery skills with leadership, commercial awareness, and a passion for great food.
What You'll Own
Team & Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop the butchery team
- Create a positive culture with clear standards and expectations
Product & Customer Experience
- Deliver exceptional quality, presentation, and customer service
- Share the story behind our produce and champion our farm-to-fork ethos
Operations & Performance
- Manage stock, waste, margins, and food safety
- Ensure the department runs efficiently and profitably
- Complete HACCP compliance paperwork and ensure high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained
Department Growth
- Drive new ideas, seasonal products, and continuous improvement
- Work with the wider leadership team to support business growth
