Post: Machine Shop Operator
Reporting to: Machine Shop Supervisor / Depot Operations Manager

Purpose:
- Operate Road Form Machine, Shot Blast Units and the Trench Sheet Press
- Repair Road Forms & Trench Sheets as required
Main Responsibilities:
- Operate a Fork Lift (must have a Current Counterbalance Fork Lift Certificate)
- Responsible for loading/unloading of plant as required
- Safe operation of the machines mentioned above, including maintaining grit levels, lubrication as required and emptying dust collectors
- Pre-start machine checks
- Maintain working areas in clean & safe condition
- Ensure plant is stored and stacked correctly and safely
- Shrink Wrap / Apply mould oil as necessary
- Grinding & welding to make repairs to road forms
- Trimming trench sheets
- General plant cleaning, including pressure washing
- Keep working areas clean and tidy
- Wear & maintain Marwood issue PPE in clean & serviceable condition
- Individuals have a responsibility to adopt safe working methods so as not to endanger themselves or others
- Where necessary assist with yard procedures
