Warehouse Operative (Temp to Permanent – Potential Career Progression to ID Manager)

British Wool is a farmer run organisation which was established in 1950 to operate a central marketing system for fleece wool. We collect the most complex wool clip in the world from over 35,000 farms throughout the UK and prepare it for sale at electronic auction.

This is more than a seasonal role — it’s an opportunity to start in a warehouse position and progress into a permanent ID Manager role with British Wool.

The Role

You’ll join our Dinas Mawddwy depot during peak season, supporting essential warehouse operations:

· Unloading deliveries from HGVs

· Weighing and scanning wool

· Preparing stock for transfer

· Moving wool through warehouse processes

· Supporting day-to-day depot activity

This is a hands-on, physical role in a busy working environment.

Contract Type

Zero hours contract initially (temporary peak season role)

Up to full-time hours available during busy periods

Opportunity to secure a permanent contract for the right candidate

What We’re Looking For

Working Hours

· Up to 39 hours per week

· Mon–Thurs: 8:00am–4:30pm

· Fri: 8:00am–3:30pm

· 30-minute unpaid lunch

· No weekend working
