Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy hospitality team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring a smooth operation and high standards of hygiene. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their skills within the culinary and hospitality sectors.

Duties

Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met
Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen supervisors
Maintaining cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas within the kitchen
Supporting the organisation of kitchen equipment and supplies for efficient workflow
Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations
Ensuring all health and safety guidelines are adhered to at all times during daily operations

Requirements

Prior experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, or culinary practices is advantageous
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Good organisational skills and a proactive attitude towards cleanliness and hygiene standards
Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings and weekends if necessary
A positive approach to teamwork and customer service within a hospitality setting
