This is a hands-on role involving practical maintenance, DIY tasks and site upkeep, alongside providing basic, day-to-day support for computers and systems—such as setting up equipment, logging faults, and helping resolve everyday issues (this is not an IT management role)
Overview
We are looking for a practical, hands-on Facilities & IT Support Assistant to help keep our GP practice running smoothly day-to-day. This is not a strategic or management IT role.
Instead, it is a visible, front-line operational role suited to someone who enjoys fixing problems, carrying out practical tasks, and taking pride in keeping a busy environment safe, compliant, well maintained, and presentable.
This role involves a mix of facilities upkeep, basic maintenance, DIY tasks, and IT support coordination, and would suit someone who enjoys being active and working across a variety of practical and organisational tasks.
This role offers variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to take real ownership of the practice environment.
Why Work for Us
We are a supportive and down-to-earth GP practice where people genuinely look out for one another. We believe that well-maintained buildings and grounds, and reliable systems, are essential to patient care, and we value the people who quietly make that happen every day. If you enjoy a role where no two days are the same and take pride in helping keep a busy healthcare environment safe, compliant, and running smoothly, we would love to hear from you.
