While working with suppliers and stakeholders across the business, you'll play a key role in driving procurement efficiency, building strong supplier relationships, and delivering value across the supply chain.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Raising and managing purchase orders, obtaining quotations, evaluating supplier proposals, and ensuring procurement activities are completed in line with company procedures and authority limits.
- Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships, negotiating pricing and terms, monitoring supplier performance, and supporting cost-saving and supplier rationalisation initiatives.
- Ensuring the timely delivery of materials, components, and services by expediting orders, resolving delivery issues, and providing updates on lead times and material readiness.
- Working closely with Project Managers, Engineering, Operations, and Finance teams to understand procurement requirements, resolve invoice or delivery discrepancies, and support project delivery.
- Maintaining accurate procurement records within the ERP system, ensuring supplier documentation, traceability, quality requirements, and compliance standards are met.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives, including supplier agreements, call-off arrangements, process improvements, and opportunities for standardisation and supply chain optimisation.
What experience you'll bring:
- Proven experience in a purchasing or supply chain role, preferably in a project driven, technical environment.
- Experience working across multiple sites, functions or business units.
- Commercially aware and proactive in delivering value.
- CIPS Level 4 qualification or actively working towards is beneficial.
- Knowledge of mechanical or electrical components is beneficial.
- Strong communication, negotiation and collaboration skills, effective in cross-functional environments.
- IT literacy including Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
