Warehouse Operative Supervisor – Job Objectives
Position Purpose
To ensure the accurate, efficient, and safe processing of customer orders while maintaining high standards of quality and customer service. To support smooth warehouse operations, improve operational efficiency, and contribute to customer satisfaction and retention through professional teamwork and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities and Objectives
1. Customer Order Fulfilment & Service
· Process customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all products are correctly picked, labelled, packed, and loaded.
· Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed safely, accurately, and within agreed timescales.
· Maintain accurate paperwork and ensure all stock movements are supported by the correct documentation.
· Prevent unauthorised stock movement by ensuring official procedures are followed at all times.
· Support fitters and delivery teams with loading, unloading, furniture moving, and safe handling of flooring products on-site.
2. Warehouse Operations & Stock Control
· Operate forklift trucks safely and responsibly, carrying out routine safety inspections and battery maintenance checks.
· Cut carpets and flooring materials accurately according to order specifications and cutting lists.
· Receive, inspect, store, and replenish stock efficiently to maintain warehouse organisation and stock availability.
· Produce and label remnants and end-of-roll stock accurately for pricing and resale.
· Liaise with office staff and management to maintain appropriate stock levels and reorder products when required.
· Assist with regular stock takes and inventory checks to maintain stock accuracy.
3. Health, Safety & Working Environment
· Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment in line with company health and safety procedures.
· Follow all manual handling and operational safety procedures to minimise workplace risks.
· Hold and maintain a valid Forklift Truck Operator Licence or complete company-provided training successfully.
· Promote safe working practices across the warehouse and support team compliance with company policies.
4. Teamwork & Communication
· Work collaboratively with warehouse staff, fitters, drivers, office teams, suppliers, and management to ensure smooth daily operations.
· Communicate effectively with colleagues and management regarding stock issues, delivery updates, and operational requirements.
· Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to support additional duties as required within the role.

Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
