Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on a variety of buildings. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilise a range of tools and techniques, and contribute to high-quality construction standards. Applicants should have a strong understanding of roofing principles and related construction skills, with a focus on safety and precision.

Duties

Install new roofing systems in accordance with project specifications and schematics
Repair and replace damaged or worn roofing components
Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to cut, shape, and assemble roofing materials
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate installation
Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely on-site
Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety standards
Collaborate with other construction trades such as plumbing, masonry, or carpentry teams when necessary
Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency

Requirements

Proven experience in roofing installation and repair
Knowledge of schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques
Strong understanding of construction principles including carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and general building practices
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights on roofs or scaffolding
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Physical fitness to undertake demanding tasks in various weather conditions
Relevant certifications or training in roofing or construction trades are advantageous
A valid driving licence is essential

Pay: £100.00-£125.00 per day
